The importance of Nellie McClung and the Persons Case in Canada is HUGE. If she hadnt taken the time and effort to make women equal "persons" just like men then women today might not have the rights they do today. So Nellie and four other women whent to Britan to prove that women were INDEED "people".
Nellie was an activist because she had a big heart for women and chirldrens rights. She diceided to DO SOMETHING about trying to make everybody equal.
