I think that i am more of a centerest than left or right wing. I think this is because I think tha we sould help others. When helping others though you have to put yourself into consideration. I also think that people who break laws should get the punishment they deservebut need to be treated like everybody else. Their rights should come first. As well as government should bot take over businesses and owning of their own land. I think that thereshould be SOME things the gocernment can run but the people should have the right to have an idea for a business or house and should run with it.

-What is the YCJA

- Explain the new "balance" in the act

The YCJA is the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is a justice system designed for people from age 12 to 17. This Act started in 2003. A child under the age of 12 CANNOT be charged for their crimes. The focus of the YCJA is rehabilitation. Not to necessarily to punish but to help change.

The new "balance" is about gangs vs. first offenders. Gangs would have a much greater sentence than a first offender. You wouldnt send someone who made a mistake because they werent in their right of mind to jail for vandalism. They would maybe get a comunity service sentence and have to apologize to the person who's property got defaced. But if a gang vandilized for not the first time the sentence would get greater and greater for each time they commited the crime.

Martin Luther King

Martin Luther King was a pastor of the Dexter Avnue Baptist Church in Montgomery Alabama. He was always a strong civil worker for his race.He was a member of the executive committee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People at this time and the leading organization of its kind in the nation. Martin orginized the bus boycott in December 1955. This boycott lasted 382 days and during these days Martin was arrested, his home bombed, and was a subject to abuse but at the same time he emerged as a black leader of the first rank. On December 21 1956 after the Supreme Court of the US had declared unconstitutional laws requiring segregation on the buses. Black and white races rode the bus as EQUALS.

Nelson Mandela and Apertheid

Aperthied is the seperating of diffrent races. Nelson Mandela was the first balck president in South Africa. Black people were not allowed to vote and were also seperated in public businesses. 70% of the population were black but they had to live in a small area of the country and could not leave without a passport. Nelson, as a peaceful protest burned his passport. These very few people had and they were also hard to get.

Craig Kielburger

The purpose of "Free The Children" is to make people not focus on themselves, but to help others who don't have freedom or the same rights we do. Some things that this organization does is helping get rid of sweatshops, or to help build schools and water towers for clean water.

The effect that Craig Kielburger has on my life would be big, this I think is were my heart is. I love children and it breaks my heart to know that they aren't treated right and have water disesed waters. And when im not thankful for the education I am getting I try to think of the schooling these children would do anything for. Or when i take advantage of the Health Care system when these children have no medical attention at all most times or don't have the slighest amount of money.
